I went to see Dr Allen Momongan after a co-worker referred me to him. When I arrived, the front desk was nowhere in sight! I had to wait until one of the hygienists came up and she handed me the paperwork and apologized. When the people in the front finally did arrive they ignored me since they were too busy eating. I handed the woman my paperwork and she snatched it out of my hand and told me to sit down - very wierd! When I asked for a key to the bathroom the girl ignored me! She appeared to be text messaging on her blackberry or cell phone. It was strange. I have not ever seen a place so messy too - papers everywhere and half-eaten food and coffee - it just did not present a clean dental office image. \r

The hygienist took me back and she seemed to do a fine job. The dentist came in and did the exam and that was fine. Nothing really eventful except that I wanted a referral for orthodontists. They said that the front desk would help me out. \r

I went up to the front and there were three or four people standing there and only one receptionist. The other one, I could see was sitting at this little desk and appeared to be online. I felt bad for the one receptionist bc she looked stressed out but the other one seemed to ignore her pleas for help. It was so strange. After all these people got checked in, it was my turn to speak to the receptionist. By that time, there were two of them again. I explained that I needed a referral to see an orthodonitst for braces. The girl said ""well, call your insurance, we don't know anybody on your plan and you have to call them."" It was the way she said it - very rude and irritated! When I said that my insurance does not cover it anyway, she still REFUSED to help me. Either she was too dense to understand what my insurance said did not matter or she just did not care. I think the failure of this place is the front desk staff. I am not going back simply bc of them!
Pros: Dentist very nice friendly
Cons: Will NOT go back since front desk is SO RUDE!
