JoAnn has taught my wife and I that we should not scream at our dogs, both of whom, were very shy. She taught them to be more confident in city situations. We used to pick them up when we saw a big dog or heard loud noises. We thought we were comforting them, but what we were doing was making the situation worse for the dogs. It was a real learning experience.\r
Our next dog will benefit from this. We thought we were doing everything right.
