A nice touch: he learns what kind of music customers like -- and has it on when they come in. He's even made me CDs -- very sweet. He has a good eye for art and fills his salon space with local artists' work (but there is no pressure to buy anything). \r

Oh, and did I mention he is great with hair? In the years I've been visiting him, I've had consistently excellent haircuts, delivered with great conversation in a relaxed environment. \r
