This is the best meal I've had in a long time. We were welcomed by a charming hostess who oozed afghani culture, asked us if we had ever eaten afghani before, and gave us a brief but informative introduction to the food. I wasn't very hungry at the time so I got an appetizer platter, and I couldn't help but finish it all. The leek scallion dumplings were unique, delectable, full of flavor, and unlike anything I've ever had at restaurant before. I had some of my brother's lamb and rice dish too (can't remember the name of it unfortunately), which also was delicious. both came with a salad topped with a tasty yoghurt dressing. the meal just kept getting better and better. best of all was the rosewater pudding, which I highly recommend. our server was very nice, helpful, and efficient. it was more than a great meal: it was an experience that left a smile on my face the rest of the evening.
