I've seen better... 6/18/2006

The largest aquarium? I didn't notice an abundant lack of space - there were TOO MANY people! You could barely get close enough to view many of the exhibits. The placards with fish names - many weren't even lit. An ""educational"" experience, it's not. There wasn't much information given on the fish! We spent the additonal $50 for the ""behind-the-scenes"" tour. Save your money! They advertise it as much better than it is. Yes, you see the vets' offices - but there's no one in there doing anything. Yes, you see where they prepare the food for the fish/mammals - but no one is in there - looks like any ordinary kitchen. You do get to see the tops of 2 of the larger exhibits, but it's mostly just pumps & filters. It's not a closer look at the fish (but we did get a nice view of the whale shark from above, but you see the same thing from below so...). Save the extra $50. Pros: parking, fish Cons: way too crowded & can't see the fish - very, very crowded more
