We were only spending one evening in Scottsdale and looked on citysearch for a good restaurant near the place we were staying. La Hacienda had the best ratings and the few reviews were positive. We were thrilled with the choice - we followed our waiters advice and did not fill up on the bread and tortillas served before dinner. They were enticing but the appetizers (ahi with jicama tacos and the house quesidilla were outstanding...the entrees were equally wonderful and combined interesting tastes and textures. We didn't have any room for dessert so cannot comment on that. Service folks were friendly and helpful. We will return to this restuarant in the future when we return to Scottsdale.
Pros: interesting food, relatively quiet, helpful waitstaff
Cons: none on this trip
