Never been disappointed with the outstanding service and the unique specials. Generous portion sizes, especially blackened filet mignon and potato-encrusted redfish. Great wine selection and nice ambience. We enjoyed the crabcakes--not necessarily better than elsewhere but different from what's served at Louie's 106 or Eddie V's.
It is pricey...we spent $123 WITH $25 off coupon (one appetizer, two entrees, four glasses wine, one cappaccino), but life's too short to eat lousy food and drink cheap wine. 20% tip automatically added to bill, which was surprise just for two people. 20% tip is normal for us for good service, but I'd rather be in charge of that--especially if the service wasn't that great.
Dressy, professional crowd seems to be the market--we didn't notice any ""snooty"" types, as someone else mentioned, which suggests that the flip-flop wearing, raggy jeans and t-shirt/6th street regular might find this fine restaurant a bit ""uppity.""
Pros: Service, Portion sizes, Quality
Cons: valet parking pricey
