I am 57 years old and Gartner's Department Store has been around longer than me. It was first opened by Mr. Gartner, then his daughter's husband took over and now the grandson is running the store. It is truly an oldfashioned department store. There are 3 floors of clothing, sewing material, baby items, and furniture. This is truly your 1950-1960 department store of the fast. Yes they are a little pricey, but you do get what you pay for and they have excellent quality merchandise. Sales staff are always helpful and cooperative. It's a pleasure to walk into their store and take a walk back in time. Transactions are still handwritten, no computer for them. What a joy.
