When it comes to Indian food I am somewhat of an expert as I am Indian and have grown up with it!! Therefore I am very picky about the food as it is my favorite cuisine. Origin India is without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in the country (that I have had the pleasure to eat at and I have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants across the US)!!
The food, atmosphere, decor and service are excellent. The staff are extremely friendly and the chef is willing to come out and make suggestions on what to order. He is also willing to make you something that is not on the menu (as long he has the ingredients). On several occasions they have met my need to satisfy my cravings for dishes that are not the menu.
This is a modern Indian restaurant and the food is served in single portions (family style is available upon request) and the presentation is also excellent. One of the best things about this restaurant is that the chef tries recipes that are different from your run of the mill Indian restaurants.
The bar is well stocked which is a nice surprise as most Indian restaurants usually have a very limited bar. The only criticism that i have is that they need to come up with some exotic cocktails that compliment the menu.
Overall I highly recommend this restaurant and you will not find better Indian food in this country!!!!
