In November Of 2006, I had a prosthesis made at this clinic. When I arrived at the clinic, I was greeted by the kindest people, I have ever met. I can truly say I was given Texas hospitality. I had to return my prosthesis for some work that was caused by my decision in the first place. I had hoped to have it back by Thanksgiving, but that was wishful thinking on my part. Since I could not show it off at Thanksgiving, I waited until Christmas to see the reactions of my family.\r

I showered and got dressed and put on my prosthesis . Up until this time only three of my family had see my prosthesis and they did not tell anyone. My sister?s grandson was the first one to notice it. Seeing me with a complete hand had confused him. He asked me questions, since he knew that I did not have complete set of fingers, since I was in Vietnam war. In his words of description; they are awesome. Aside from slight color difference there is very little that people would ever notice.\r

Nobody at our Christmas dinner even noticed my hand, until my sister?s grandson, this includes my 85 year old mother, who is still in full control of her life and mind. Since then, I have worn my prosthesis to several groups meeting of Vietnam veterans. David who it blind, could not tell the difference in feel, until I had told him, He even knew that I was wearing it. Many of the group have shaken my left hand (the prosthesis) and cannot tell the difference in the feel or grip of my fingers. Every one is totally amazed at how life like it looks. The details that the technicians took in detailing this hand made it un-noticeable to the average person.\r

If you are in need of having prosthesis for cosmetic reasons, I strongly recommend the Life Like Laboratory in Dallas, Texas. I will also tell you not to judge their work as a customer; if you are like me, you will be too critical as you know it is there. I strongly recommend that you do as I did and let others unknowingly judge their work!\r
