I've been going to Tad's since 1981. It's a great destination to sit high above the Sandy River in a log cabin atmosphere. I've known what I get in return - pretty plain food. We stopped eating the stewed chicken and dumplings years ago because it's just a bland dish here. Instead, we get fried chicken with a dumpling on the side and put a lot of seasoning on the dumpling. So it's food I wouldn't cross the street for in Portland, but the setting is the draw.
Pros: River setting
Cons: Hostile to kids
