In the year I have lived in the area, I have been to Kreuz and Smittys in Lockhart, Cartwrights here in Bastrop, and Meyers and Crosstown in Elgin. Crosstown is the best overall so far. The brisket was very tasty but a bit dry. Thats because GF didnt want the fatty part like I love. The chicken had been done for a while, but it was still moist and very tasty. The ribs were very good as well. The sauce was tasty, but thin and not my favorite style. But then, who needs sauce? Maybe Kreuz; but not this place. I also thought the prices were very reasonable. But then, you sure dont pay for atmosphere here cause it has none. But then, who needs atmosphere?
Pros: Just good Que!
Cons: None that I could see.
