I used to frequent this venue as one of the best places to hear jazz. And it was defenitely tragic when the place changed ownership, and was closed for renovation for a whole year and a half. When I heard the place re-opened, again as Bruno's, I was curious whether it would be the same again. The renovation is not the best, the center room is gone, along with the fish tank, and now the place is covered in leopard print carpet, with flat screens galore. The place is now so tacky to match the new disrespectful staff. Perhaps they are trying to resurrect the legend, still posting reviews from the past on their website as though their own, but after my time there last night I am certain it will never be the same. Bruno's is dead. R.I.P.
