Yakult 10/4/2006

I visited the new location located on 6th and Berendo since I heard that they had a parking structure. It was my first time trying this yogurt, with so much hype I had to see it for myself. I wanted to try the green tea and the orignal swirled together. You have to pay for a small original and a small green tea to get them together, so basically two orders. I was afraid it was too much, but then everybody in the store was eating the bucket size one. When I had that first taste I instantly had memories of my childhood. It tasted like YAKULT, the japanese yogurt drink in the little plastic bottle with the red foil on top. I recognized this flavor in an instant because I drank that while growing up and living in Japan. According to what the previous person said, in fact it is yogurt, just not the usual american yogurt we are familiar with. I do have to say Pink Berry's yogurt is refreshing and not your usual frozen yogurt you get elsewhere where the flavor is flat. However, Pink Berry's frozen yogurt may be low fat or non fat but there are lots of sugar. My hands were really sticky afterwards. The decor of the store is modern with a furturistic twist. Pros: YAKULT Cons: Carbs, carbs, and more carbs more
