When I first moved to the neighborhood, this was the best choice. Then Home Depot opened and I actually cheated on the guys and gals from Vercesi and went to Home Depot. What a mistake!! The people who work at Vercesi actually care about helping you. They take the time to find out what you really need and will go the extra mile (i.e. finding rebates for paint supplies, or carrying heavy items to your door, or making sure you buy the correct wattage light bulb). The staff is always friendly and have a real down-home feel. Not to mention the prices are lower than most other hardware stores I've been to. I shall never stray again.
