I won a trip to Nashville on our local Counrty Radio Station. We had never been to Nashville and was looking forward to the trip! When we arrived, the hotel stands out it is the tallest in downtown, the staff wonderful. Made us feel like we were someone special! The location is great, right around the corner from the Ryman, the Gaylord Arena, and Broadway (the local honkey tonks). WE had a wonderful time, and found none of the above mentioned problems.
Even tho they don't have shuttles to/from the airport, and the OpryLand Resort the taxis are only 22.00 one way to these area attractions.
The only thing I might suggest is to put families with small children on the same wing/ floor, a family with small children was across the hall and allowed them to play in the hall. We could hear them in the halls.
