From the outside St Mary's looks rundown, in fact the rear of the building is collapsing The town of Bedford and the St Mary's have been in a decades long battle, its in a historic district, but the pastors want a new church built, that reflects the needs of their current parishoners. That said, the old church is a very special place, exuding a quiet spirituality, a perfect place to commune with the almighty. There are beautiful stain glass windows and its small interior and low key but welcoming parishoners make it a truly worthwhile place to visit.
