I have frequented Chips since it sat alone. Traveling alone I stopped in the bar area. It became evident the bar area doubles as the employees' lounge. From manager to waitress the bar is abuzz. Some employees are point blank rude, others cordial, Mike the bartender was the high point. Newpapers and cigarettes abound. Waitresses pop in and out sometimes in groups of three. The conversation is dictated by the employees that screw their faces up at your attempt to comment. Uncomfortable at best. The food as always was good to very good. I suggest you retire to the main dining room if you would like to dine or imbibe. This all seemed like odd behavior with Ankeny growing, a new Outback a stone throws away, and many places to choose from. I shall choose elsewhere in the future and leave the employees' lounge to the Chips employees.
Pros: GOOD FOOD
Cons: POOR MANG.
