This Barnes & Noble is much smaller and quieter than the other B&N chains in the city, which is preferable in my opinion. The staff, however, has been quite rude at times. Still, there's never a crowd and always a quiet corner to enjoy the books.
The selection of books on NYC here is most impressive. If you are new to the city and looking to stock up on these--or a tourist a bit lost--this is a good spot, with NYC travel books I haven't seen anywhere else.
The bargain books in the basement floor are also often a quite varied selection for good prices.
