My first visit to Twin Palms was exceptional. I ordered the New York steak with peppercorn sauce and twice-baked potato. It was one of the best steaks I have ever had (and trust me, I've tried many for I am practically a carnivore). The only downfall was the dessert - the vanilla ice cream with a giant cookie. I assumed that the cookie would be hot out of the oven with the ice cream melting over it, similar to other restaurants. But the cookie was hard and cold. I went to Twin Palms a second time and ordered the same steak. However, it didn't taste like it did before. The sauce was mediocre and the fat was not trimmed off well. The atmosphere is quite nice and romantic nonetheless.
