This location of Birraporetti's is known for serving the Theater District crowd. Because they can rely on this patronage, they do not need to worry so much about quality, service, or too high of prices. It is not a good Italian food restaurant. The only bread you get is the heavily buttered kind you pay for, parmesan cheese is offered from a Pizza Hut shaker, the food is bland, and when we were there the espresso machine was not working. Not to mention the service we received was quite poor. Go elsewhere even if you are in the area to see a show. If you do go, I would lower your expectations despite the prices and dressed up guests, order safe and select pizza or spaghetti.
