I had my old car detailed at an high-end detail shop in SF that charged me $350 for a quality job. I also wanted to get my newly purchased 2002 bmw detailed but couldn't see shelling out another $350.
When I saw The Detail Factory's $175 price, I thought I might end up gettomg what I paid for. Not the case. There's no pretention at TDF and you may not see as many lux rigs hanging around. But I was delighted with the job they did. That included getting out moderate scratches on the body -- and on a black car that ain't easy. Interior was good as well.
So -- pay more if you think of your car as a temple. If you're just interested in a superb detailing job, go to TDF. You won't be disappointed.
Pros: Reasonably Priced, Excellent Work, Unpretentious
Cons: Location isn't great
