I go for quality over quantity any day of the week. So naturally, I was skeptical. But why not give it a try. It seemed to draw a crowd on a weekday so it can't suck too bad. And to my surprise, the sushi was excellent. Yes, you can have quality AND quantity, even when it comes to sushi. Even at a la carte sushi, the uni isn't always fresh. You can't keep it more than a day or so. but the uni at this place was very fresh. The hamachi was generously portioned. Bigger than some a la carte places. The variety. The quality was better than most. It isnt for a guy looking to impress his date. OK, even if my expectations weren't so low, I think I would still rate it high. I've had sushi in Japan and NYC. In some respects, this was very close.
Pros: great food
Cons: Seating format dull
