I no longer live in the Detroit area, but when I visit, I always have to hit La Shish more than once. I have yet to find such amazing Lebanese or Middle-Eastern food anywhere else, even on the West Coast. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes and it's great for vegans (break out of the falafel rut with the veggie galaba).
Warning: The fresh baked bread ruins you for any store-bought pita. The hummus is really good, but get the spicy "salsa" to dip the bread in. Also, get the regular salad or the spinach salad to stuff in the bread. Complement your meal with fresh mango juice.
