Plaza Dairyland is the best. I grew up coming here, and whenever I'm back in town I always stop by. The sandwiches are great--not over-stuffed ridiculous like many places; my favorite: egg salad on wheat toast with tomato. The soups are always excellent, and the ice cream is the perfect way to end a meal. The waitresses have all worked there for years, which tells you a lot; and the decor takes you back to 1960. Very reasonable prices. It's a million times better than all the lousy chain-restaurants; plus you're supporting a privately owned business by going there. You'll love it.
