We walked in without a reservation on a rainy Saturday at 5 and were met with an incredulous stare (and a ""we HIGHLY RECOMMEND RESERVATIONS"" when we had the audacity to ask for a table unannounced. Finally situated way in the back, we had an above average meal with great mushroom soup, good pumpkin ravioli w/ lobster, average taglietelle bolognese, and an interesting grilled squid and octopus. 90 minutes later the place was only 1/2 full and had no line despite our having not made a reservation. They certainly do have a good opinion of themselves. P.S. This is nothing special for the North End.
Pros: Rich flavors, Soothing atmosphere, Attentive service
Cons: Pricey, Hard to find
