This vinyl tablecloth kind of casual, bar-focused restaurant concentrates on southern and South of the Border cuisine. The menu includes steak, seafood, rib and some ""cajun"" offerings, but its main focus is Mexican (specifically, the type that you find in Mexican restaurants throughout the US). The Mexican themed menu selections are the better choice - seasonal vegetables accompanying other items can be overcooked and salads are a bit ho-hum.
The bar focus is quite apparent from the wall plaques ""honoring"" patrons who have coughed up $18 to consume a shot of mezcal along with its accompanying worm. For those less inclined to self-aggrandizing drinking, a good selection of tequilas are available in the $6-$12/drink range.
Service is informal but pleasant and quite adequate. Menu pricing is moderate. Ample off-street parking is available around the restaurant.
