I am a 3rd generationa 100% Italian who also lived in San Francisco with it's great Italian restuarants. I was raised on Italian food and we have traveled Italy. With no disrespect to all the othe Italian restaurants in Portland, Ernesto's is our favorite. It more represents the true Italian food than the noveu cousine Americanised Italian. It is more what true Italians eat,very resonably price and with great service. If you want faux Italian try some of the trendy places but if you want something closer to what real Italian's eat---try Ernesto's.
