For me, it's hard to go to a Jamaican restaurant in the States and not be somewhat disappointed - after all, its NOT Jamaica. However, the Jerk Hut provides a good fix if you're really missing Jamaica. The atmosphere is perfect. The veranda - a grass hut with basic yard furniture, and the setting - next to the vegetable garden, with reggae playing in the background, makes you feel for a moment you are back in JA. From a vegetarian, the Ital Stew is my favorite, and the okra run down a close second. Friends have raved about both the jerk and curry chicken. The corn bread, plaintains, and deserts are delicious. But hold off on the patties - nothing compared to the ""real"" thing, and there is plenty of other good stuff. Bring a bottle of Appleton to mix with their homemade juices (mango is the best!) and enjoy...
Pros: inexpensive good food, fresh juices, atmosphere
