Just across Washington Ave from Queen Village lies a gem waiting for unearthing. Caffe Valentino is the "little sister" to Valentino's (13th and Pine). However, sibling rivalry aside, Caffe Valentino's offerings are freshly prepared and wonderfully executed. Try the Italiano Antipasto. Assorted cheeses and meats served on a butcher block. The Tuna carpacchio which is paired with fresh greens with a tart and tangy vinaigrette, will dissolve on your tongue. Dinner specials abound and are always worth a try. The fish is exceptionally fresh. My personal favorite is the Veal Piccatta. Light, delicate and a true delight for the palate. The staff is intimate, charming and always there if needed. You will not be disappointed.
