Amerigo is pretty good italian. Its a far cry from the best italian I have had, but for Memphis its not bad. Food was decent, ambience is nice, service was attentive. I enjoyed the veal saltimboca which was ham and mozzarella rolled in veal scallopine served over spinach and covered in a nice red sauce. The mussels were also good. The house chianti was a nice compliment to the dish. Stay tuned as the search for top level italian cuisine in Memphis will continue.
