The facade and lobby of this hotel have been beautifully and immaculately restored. However the rooms leave a lot to be desired. Avoid first floor rooms (there are two of them) at all costs. They afford a lovely view of the alley where the kitchen garbage is kept, and rock to the sounds (ALL NIGHT) of the hotel washing machine next door. We got ""upgraded"" to a better room the next night. It was a vast improvement, but still a far cry from a luxury experience (shower stall, no tub, and a view of a the wall of the building next door). The hotel staff was extremely friendly, which helped to salvage this stay a little, but I would not recommend this hotel for the price.
Pros: Location, location, staff
Cons: , shower stall bathroom
