This museum feautures all sorts of boring carriges. Its a big, wearhouse-like type building. It's usually pretty cold in there. Not a good place for kids looking for entertainment. It's a typical museum. The fact that it is in the area of Stony Brook it is, makes it worthwhile. There's shops, a lake, places to eat, the train station and other things to do. It's similair to downtown Port Jefferson.
Pros: inexpensive, not crowded, good location
