A hushed and serious-seeming restaurant, beautifully decorated. I ordered a dish of rice mixed with lima beans. I love rice - my favorite cookbook is the ""Seductions of Rice"" recipe book/photojournal - and this dish was really something, fluffy rice grains green and fragrant with dill, the beans flavorful and cooked to perfection, topped with a sprinkling of melting feta cheese and saffron rice lightly coated in butter.
My friend the lima-bean hater tried a little of my lima beans and loved them. He ordered a slow-cooked lamb stew which he pronounced ""meltingly tender"" and seemed to be enjoying mightily.
Do stay away from the pickled mango relish, though. And the chai is pretty good, but tasted exactly like the Oregon Chai brand from the grocery store.
