Buca di Beppo reminds me of the buffet at the Rio in Vegas...Lots of food quantity, little food quality. This one is all about the appearance folks, it has the music, the decor, all wrapped up in a convenient package. Portions are almost obscenely large with unrefined flavor. Its not that the food is horrible, its just that the TGIF style insincerity makes it a silly experience. Other than that, the service is good and the atmosphere is lively. If Universal Studios were to recreate an Italian food event, this would be it. This one is for the family with younger children looking to have some fun, not for the italian food connoisseur.
