Chinooks was at best, average. There are so many other seafood restaurants in Seattle that have much more to offer. The wait was horrendous (no reservations nowadays makes no sense--by the time we were seated, they had run out of oysters! a double whammy!!), the food was so so (no one in my party liked the blue plate special- mushy lingcod with a weird creamy/cheesey sauce) our food arrived much later than people who were seated later (understandably we were a party of 6- but then food was brought out at different times: half had to wait 10 minutes longer), and our server was quite rude! (She specifically said, without eye contact as we asked for a refill on our soda- ""Umm I dont know what you are saying..i just dont understand you""...a simple ""Excuse me? would have been sufficient).
Pros: good bread, kid friendly-crayons!
Cons: service, wait, average food
