Every dish that comes out of either the kitchen or the sushi bar is a work of art which will make you question what exactly you have been eating all these years. The sashimi specials are a perfect way to start a long meal that is more about discovering new flavors than it is about filling up on assembly line sushi (case in point: the ethereal uni tempura, unlike anything I have ever had).
The service is sublime from the sushi chefs on down to the friendly and helpful busboy. While Asanebo is not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, it is well worth the expense without having to suffer through the attitude or pretension of some other high-priced sushi joints.
