lala rokh is tucked away in a lovely little spot on beacon hill. the food is quite good, but frankly the place didn't live up to my expectations. i don't see why everyone thinks it's so romantic! it's pretty, and the decor is elegant and tasteful, but somehow it's to ""new and pastelly"" to strike me as romantic. also, if you like this sort of food, helmand (afghani place near the cambridgeside galleria) has similar cuisine but with much more sublime flavor!
