We were very excited to go to El Gaucho, Tacoma, with our friends after Christmas, as classy new restaurants are a rarity in Pierce County. The restaraunt is attractive, and we were pleasantly greeted and seated. Our server was not too casual or too snobby. The food was good, but not great. The SHOCKER: our bill, for four people (2 drinks total, one average bottle of wine, four steak dinners) was $330!! There is no way this will play in Tacoma. I give this place six months to one year if they don't drastically lower their prices. For that price, you should get the ""meal of a lifetime"", and this was not even close. Save your money and keep eating at Stanley's!
