I have had dim sum everywhere since I first bit into a dumpling in 1977. And I thought I'd seen it all. . . .well, I did until Koi Palace. Their dim sum offerings I've never seen before. Ok a few of the dumplings are ho-hum, but Har Gao (shrimp dumplings) are great! Big fat piece of de-veined (thank goodness) shrimp. Normally I hate Chinese sweets - but the thousand layer cake awesome . . .we were blown away. We were also stunned by their dim sum version of Unagi . . .picture BBQ eel in pastry which looks like a cute little snake thingy. Cute and tasty. When you enter please look at the tea offerings, they have very usual teas. this place is worth every penny and every calorie! PS - even if you arne't Asian they will be polite to you ( a rare treat! ) Eliz.
Pros: creative, beautiful interior, the best dim sum
Cons: rumors of long lines
