We chose this hotel based on some reviews we read on travel guides, but we were disappointed. We realized that ""historic"" is just a euphemism for ""really, really old."" The facade and the lobby are beautiful, but our room was very, very shabby. The bathroom was pitifully outdated. We could not sleep much for the two nights we stayed, because of the noise from other guests (thin wall?), who were shouting for hours. The frontdesk did not respond to our complaints. Stay here if the only thing you care about is being in the French Quarters.
