I don't know what these other people are talking about- French Meadow was GREAT! I am in Minnesota visiting relatives but normally live in California, and happy to say that FM is the closest I've seen to California cuisine! In general, I think Minnesota restaurants are awful with no distinction or originality (all the same kitschy dive bar type atmospheres or fast food), but FM had only the freshest vegetables, great ambience, wide-ranging menu, VERY friendly staff, etc. It also had that whole laid-back California attitude going on and was casual, but still good-looking, too. I was so happy to be there- I just breathed a sigh of relief!!
