This is the best Ballard spot for late night eating. I think the bar serves until 1 am and I love the Fried Tomato Sandwich. It's served on rustic bread with herbed goat cheese and cucumbers. For more traditional barfood they offer fried mushrooms, french fries and a bunch of authentic german food. Really smokey and service is really friendly but *slows* when they're busy (somewhat under staffed on busy nights, it seems).
