When I come home to visit my old hometown, Cafe du Monde still tops my lists of must-dos. Of course the beignets are good...a New Orleans must-do. However, the thing that gets me coming back is the Cafe Au Lait. I've never found coffee like this again, and believe me, I'VE LOOKED. Sadly, the canned version is no where close, and the same can be said for the beignet mix. If you want the real experience (and trust me you can't miss this one), stop in after a night in the quarter for coffee and beignets. You won't be sorry. If you are, please pass it my way and go home...because I miss it!
