Often imbibed at atmospheric, revolving Carousel Bar, but never stayed at the hotel until this trip. Our corner room was small, lacked the queen bed we'd reserved, but was nice. Difference in room rate was adjusted by the manager once we provided proof of rate we'd been guaranteed through Orbitz. Service seems indifferent in general. ""Doorman"" nonchalantly opened the door on occasion; ""Receptionist"" at check-in was less than friendly. This is rare, considering the impressive and genial service encountered at EVERY other hotel (Royal Sonesta, Le Meridien, Prytania Park, Pontchartrain) I've stayed at in New Orleans. However, the woman who refilled our mini-bar was cheery and just GREAT! In addition, LOVED the rooftop pool and adjoining area. Would stay here again simply because the manager was kind enough to adjust the bill, because the Carousel Bar is wonderful for drinks, and the pool area was so relaxing.
