I brought a 10 month old and was all but refused seating on an empty monday. They have no boosters or highchairs, and made it crystal clear that I shouldn't bring my child. My child was not crying or fussing at all by the way and we were being seated in a room by ourselves. I have been eating at Plainfields a few times a year for 12 years, and more for atmosphere than for the medeocre food. This is a nice place, but you get the impression the staff is superior to you. NEVER AGAIN.
Pros: romantic, not crowded, easy parking
Cons: very spotty service, not child friendly, small menu
