Being from the ""Bayou State"" of Louisiana, I have often enjoyed the atmosphere and food at Cafe DuMonde in the French Quarter. I was pleasantly surprised when I visited Crescent City Beignets. The music reminds me of south Louisiana, and the food is as close as you can get to Cafe DuMonde without actually being in New Orleans! I enjoy the cafe 'au lait and biegnets, however the service is always slow. Every time that we have gone there is someone at the cash register who seems as if he doesn't quite know what he is doing. It is not the same guy each time either, there are 2 guys there that are really slow. So if you are in a hurry don't stop here, but if you have the time to wait, you will enjoy some great beignets and cafe 'au lait!
