Hotel Monteleone is a beautiful historic hotel, two blocks from Canal Street just inside the French Quarter and with a few minor flaws, a wonderful first class property. The flaws: their rooms are on the small side, windows are sealed shut, and their front desk offers little in the way of making a good first impression. Elsewhere, the Concierge, Bellman, housekeeping are very accommodating, and the Carousel Bar makes an excellent, reasonably priced Bloody Mary. I would recommend the Monteleone and not hesitate to stay with them again.
Pros: Carousel Bar, Few children, Architecture
Cons: Small Rooms, Front desk staff, Sealed room windows
