I like Wild Basin because it's relatively close to town. It's a step up from Austin's greenbelts, but not quite as remote as somewhere like Enchanted Rock. One really neat thing is every halloween, volunteers make a haunted trail for kids and adults alike. It's a lot of fun for the little ones and it's a lot different than a haunted house because it is in a forest with that whole ""Blair Witch"" thing going.
