I have eaten sushi around the world, in California for 8 years and on business trips to Japan; this sushi bar rivals any I have found. The sushi chef, Hiroshi, takes great pride in the most extensive sushi offerings in the midwest. No other sushi bar in the Twin Cities offers otoro, fresh hamachi, fresh aoyagi, fresh mirugai, fresh giant clam, fesh hokkigai, katsuo, aji, suzuki, Santa Barbara uni, blue fin and big eye tuna, shiro maguro, and awabi to name a few selections outside the normal sushi menu. True, the sushi is plainly served with little decoration but, if you want to experience the tremendous variety of this sushi chef it is an easy thing to put aside. Good selection of premium sakes as well. Kubuki has a Teppanyaki room that is usually well booked and very busy. You must make reservations.
